After three days back from our trip to Venice, I realized that I will not look at commuting the same way again. I miss being able to jump on and off public transportation that is so reliable that you can set your watch to. During the trip, I would get up before sunrise and traverse the city with ease. Two days of commuting in Atlanta and I realize that there is no easy way to get around this city.  I can only hope that as local leaders realize that the infrastructure that they are building won’t sustain itself without a complete overhaul of our transportation systems.

In the mean time, I think that I will just try to remember the nice views from Venice.
